Respecting our country and respecting ourselves. Canadians coming together to keep our Country prosperous, and its residents strong, healthy, and free!
The purpose of this blog is to reach as many Canadians as possible. I welcome our United States neighbors and friends to join in as well. With our shared border, decisions made by our elected leaders affect us all.
Canada used to be envied from around the world, but no more. Our economy and our people are suffering under the current political leadership.
The world we live in today is full of divide fueled by political and personal agendas, lies and distractions. We can’t afford to be a fragmented Country while our elected leaders are being influenced by worldwide agendas. These agendas have been created by people we did not elect and whose are not working in Canadians best interests. We are watching Canadian values and freedoms disappear before our eyes.
We need to come together and support each other in what I believe is a shared goal of getting Canada back on track.
Whether you are a small business owner, farmer, or in the trucking or service industry, inflation, workforce shortages, outrageous expenses and taxes affect us all.
For those who believe in Canadians right to gun ownership, hunting, sport shooting and fishing, we need to make sure these freedoms continue while also ensuring Canadians enjoyment of our beautiful natural landscape and healthy waterways continue.
For those who no longer have young children at home but want Canadian children to prosper and do so in safe schools and spaces becoming contributing members of society and our future leaders, we need to stand with today’s parents.
Many of us want healthcare that gets to the root of the problem in a timely manner instead of long wait times, pharmaceuticals as a solution, or no solution. This along with the desire for nutritious affordable home-grown fruits, vegetables, and meat, we need to stand with our Canadian farmers.
For those interested in our housing needs, shortfalls, and affordability, we need to find ways to work with our construction trades and development groups to make it happen. The government has made it difficult for everyone.
We won’t agree on every issue, but I expect that some of our interests and desires for a strong and prosperous country will overlap. Working in silos for each issue is not beneficial, we are stronger in numbers.
This is where the “Canadian Huddle” can bring us together. While some people will find posts to be controversial, no topic will be off limits, and political correctness will be frowned upon. With almost every post, Canadian’s will be asked to take just a few minutes to write all our elected Provincial and Federal leaders. As you will find, this will be made easy for you!
Contact information for Canadian politicians is available on this site making it easy to share directly with them your questions, concerns, and views. Many articles posted on this site will ask that you reach out to our elected officials to share with them your expectations on a variety of issues. A few minutes of your time each week, could have a huge positive influence on Canada’s future.
Canadians need to not only be aware of political matters, but also need to ensure we are healthy and strong in body, mind, and spirit so I hope you enjoy some of the non-political articles that will be posted.
Why should you trust me or this blog? Do your own due diligence and decide if you want to. I am a former sixteen-year municipal politician who believes in truth, honesty, and in saying it the way it is. I’ve seen common themes at all levels of government and worldwide that have left me concerned for this Country, our world, and our future. I find writing about matters that are important to me to be therapeutic, and like many other Canadians, I just can’t sit and watch our country be destroyed any further.
My (short) memoir is available on Amazon and titled Be Your Own Ride or Die. If you want to understand why I may have some of the opinions I do, the book may assist you. However, it’s not necessary to purchase it. You can just read the articles, create your own opinion, and share them with our Provincial and Federal elected officials.
I hope you consider signing up for new post notifications (see "subscribe" button below). That way we can create a Canada wide group that if the need arises, we can keep in touch.
My goal is to find like-minded individuals who are willing to stand up for our country, our people, our future, our economy, our rights, and good old fashion common sense. For those who will want to argue about the articles that will be posted, I’m not interested. Take what you like, leave what you don’t.
Full disclosure…I am a Conservative Canadian who believes the ability and responsibility is on us the residents to unite. None of our leaders can seem to pull it together at this very crucial time in history. While I have consistently voted conservative over the years, it is fair to say that I have some concerns going on there too.
We have allowed a divide that doesn’t need to exist. Let’s get to work and fix it…time is running out.
Sincerely,
Nina Litz-Bifolchi
PS: After 16 years in politics and 52 years of living, I have a few haters. They may try and convince you that this blog has been created because I have future political aspirations. Please know I have none. I have had my fill of public office and I am enjoying life on the other side of it, with like-minded people, spending time with family and friends, living healthy and laughing lots. If we don’t fix a few things…none us, our children or grandchildren will be able to have that in the future.
